DIY - brown paper gift wrap

i love using brown paper for wrapping gifts. since it is plain, it gives me a wide range of room to spruce up.
here's two birthday gifts for a friend's six year old girl. one is a brown paper bag adorned with pink decorative ribbon. the other is embellished with a flower cut-out using construction paper & button.

DIY - customized birthday gift wrap

i love giving gifts. but what i love more is how it was wrapped. since i was younger, i always put my own "special touch" in the box or bag. each one is unique. gift wrapping brings out a lot of my imagination & creativity in the process. most often than not, it takes me awhile to figure out how to wrap it. that is why i buy the gift ahead of time.

so here is a customized gift box for my friend's son's 4th birthday. it was all about trains. i simply used construction paper with different colors to cut the train. then glued it to the box. it makes the gift extra special & more personalized. {don't you think?}
